We spent over a year in this beautiful part of the world close to the Artic Circle, exploring the raw appearance of nature and its power. The diversity is endless, from majestic glaciers and many glacial rivers that flow to the sea through the lowlands, deep canyons, thousands of waterfalls, geysers to hot pools. Lying on the constantly active geologic border between North America and Europe you can find here many volcanoes that never sleeps surrounded by vast lava fields. This place has a soul more than any other we saw before. That surprising natural diversity is breathtaking and if you stop for a moment you can feel the earth’s heartbeat.
