Chile captivated us with raw, untamed power and dramatic landscapes that felt alive beneath our feet. In the far south, we immersed ourselves in the windswept wilderness of Patagonia, where jagged granite towers rose above glacial lakes and vast open plains stretched endlessly toward the horizon. We spent five unforgettable days trekking and camping deep in the park, carrying everything we needed as shifting weather swept in without warning. Fierce winds, sudden rain, and moments of brilliant sunlight made every step feel earned, and every view unforgettable.

Further north, we came face to face with one of nature’s most visceral forces on Villarrica Volcano. The ascent was brutally demanding, pushing us physically and mentally as volcanic ash crunched beneath our boots. Near the summit, we pulled on gas masks as sulfuric fumes rose from the crater, a stark reminder that this mountain is very much alive. Though the lava lake was no longer visible from the rim, we could feel its presence below, hear the rumble of the earth, and stand on the edge of an active volcano that continues to shape the land around it.

Chile is a country of extremes, where ice, fire, and wind collide, and where adventure is inseparable from the landscape itself.
